March 14, 2010 Fourth Sunday of Lent

The annual Easter Basket and Bake Sale sponsored by Women's League will be held on the weekend of March 27 and 28th in the Kolbe Hall. Detailed information in the bulletin.

Next Saturday, March 20th, confirmation class and Youth Group will go on the Retreat to Bishop Lane Retreat Center. It is an mandatory retreat for the youth. Please bring your child to Bishop Lane by 8:45 am. If you have any questions, please contact parish office or Gail Vannetter.

Next weekend the second collection will be taken to support our Franciscan Mission in Uganda.

To prepare our hearts for Easter we will have a Lenten Retreat in our parish in English. The retreat is open for all men and women. It will be hold on Saturday, March 20 th starting at 1:00 pm. Please check all the detail information in the bulletin.

The Lenten retreat in Polish will start on Sunday, March 21st. Check the bulletin for the schedule.

We would like to thank everyone for supporting our fundriser at Applebees restaurant on Saturday morning.

Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Holy Saturday, April 3rd. We need to know how many children will attend this event, that is why we are asking to register your child this or next weeknend after masses in the back of the church or calling the parish office with in next week, please prowide the names and ages of the children.

Next week please bring pasta for the needy.

March 7, 2010 Third Sunday of Lent

Just to remaind you that during Lent we have a additional Mass every Wednesday at 6:00 pm followed by Stations of the Cross in English.

The Women's League will meet in Kolbe Hall on Tuesday, March 9th at 7:00 pm for their monthly meeting.

St. Stanislus Church is sponsoring a pancake breakfast on Saturday, March 13, 2010 from 8:00 am till 10:00 am at the Applebee's Neighborhood Bar & Grill on East State Street in Rockford. Church will earn 80% of the profit on the ticket sale. All this profit will be given to help our Franciscan Mission in Uganda. Tickets are $5.00 per person and can be purchase after mass at the back of the church or at the parish office. We will also have a raffle that day: first price is a 32" Samsung LCD/HDTV, second price is Blu-Ray DVD Player and third price is $50.00 Gift Certificate. You can purchase tickets for a raffle with the breakfast tickets.

Next week please bring cereal for the needy.
