 Mass with children
Each 3rd Sunday of the month at 11:00 am we celebrate Mass with children. Children from Polish School do the readings, sing songs, and carry gifts to the altar. Fr. Peter had a wonderful homily for the children and asked them many questions. After Mass, the kids presented a Lenten skit.

 Mardi Gras
On Saturday, February 22nd Polish School hosted a Mardi Gras party for the children of our school. The evening began with performances from the vocal group Oremus and the dance group Krakowiaczek, who delighted us with a few folk dances. The artistic part of the evening ended with a skit done by some of the teachers. The rest of the evening was filled with more dancing, games and great food prepared by parents.

 Woman of the Year
February 8, 2009, at the 9:00 and 11:00 am Mass Fr. Peter introduced to the congregation the 2009 Woman of the Year, thanking Gail Vannetter for all she does for the parish with bouquet of roses. The same day at 5:00 pm at the Women of the Year banquet at Cliffbrakers restaurant, Gail represented our parish by receiving an award from Bishop Thomas G. Doran.

 Jaselka-Nativity Play
On January 4th at the Epiphany Mass children of the Polish Language School invited everyone to the school hall for their annual Nativity Play. In the traditional story of the birth of our Lord, children dressed as native characters and paid homage to the new born Savior.
Adults Nativity
After the children?s play, teachers and parents of Polish School delighted the audience with old fashioned skits and carols. The afternoon ended with coffee, cake and fellowship.

 Christmas
Children from the Polish Language School, dressed in traditional Folk costumes, took part in the entrance procession at 11:00 a.m. Mass, where Fr. Peter carried baby Jesus and placed Him at the foot of the Cross. At the end of the Mass Fr. Peter blessed and wished everyone Merry Christmas. Each child present received a crystal angel to put on the Christmas tree at home.

 Midnight Mass
On Christmas Eve the parishioners coming to church for the Midnight Mass were greeted by the beautiful sounds of Polish and English carols performed by the St. Stanislaus choir. At midnight Fr. Peter carried baby Jesus in the entrance procession and placed Him at the foot of the Cross in the manger.

 Navy Pier
Monday, December 22nd Fr. Peter invited the Youth Group and the Altar Servers on a trip to Chicago. The adventure started with a youth Mass at noon and pizza. After that, we got on the bus and hoped to get to Navy Pier within two hours. The trip took us almost four hours because of the Christmas rush traffic in Chicago. Finally when we got to Navy Pier we were greeted at the Winter Wonder Festival. Youth spent a few hours playing, watching performances, climbing, and ice skating. On the way home we drove on Michigan Avenue to look at the Christmas lights display, we also saw the Christmas tree at the Daily Plaza. We got home late but full of excitement.

 Fr. Peter visits the sick and home bound
Besides his first Friday visits during the year to the sick and homebound, during Advent Fr. Peter visited all of the homebound of our parish again. This time he said Holy Mass with them in addition to giving them the Holy Eucharist.

 Society of Mercy
Ladies from the Society of Mercy met for their annual Christmas Oplatek. The evening started with a Holy Mass celebrated by Fr. Peter. After Mass everyone went to Kolbe Hall, where Fr. Peter blessed the food and the Christmas wafer and shared it with all present. Then everyone sat down to a wonderful meatless dinner prepared by the members of the Society. The evening concluded with many great carols.

 St. Nicholas Day
Sunday, December 7th St. Nick visited our children after the 9:00 and 11:00 am Mass. He told children the story of Saint Nick and gave each of them a small gift. After the ceremony in church all were invited to Kolbe Hall for coffee and cake and a bake sale prepared by the ladies of the Women?s League.

 Women?s League Mass for deceased members
The last Sunday of November, the Women?s League hosted their annual Mass for the deceased members of the League. After the emotional Mass all the families of the deceased members were invited to a breakfast prepared by our ladies.

 20th Anniversary of Franciscans VOWS
On Sunday, November 23rd, our Franciscans Brothers: Fr. Piotr Sarnicki, Bro. Henryk Lukawski (working at our parish), Fr. Marian Golab, Fr. Piotr Tymko (visiting from Poland) and Fr. Zbigniew Zajchowski (working at S.S. Peter & Paul Parish) celebrated the 20th anniversary of their vows. For this special occasion, children honored them with beautiful poems and presented them with flowers.

 The Polish Independence Day
At the 11:00 a.m. Mass, the Polish community of our church gathered together to thank God for the freedom of our homeland. Mass ended with children of Polish Language School presenting us with a poem and a song. After Mass, Fr. Peter invited everyone to Kolbe Hall for delicious pea soup ?Grochowka? and kielbasa prepared by Stanley and Jadwiga Golab, Anna Moskalis and Agata Gibala. Over 150 people attended this year?s event and enjoyed great food and company.

 Halloween
On Saturday, October 25th our church sponsored a Halloween party for all the children in the parish. Children dressed in their favorite costumes, played games, danced and made crafts. This year we added the best dressed contest. The prizes were awarded in each age category and all of participants received consolation prizes.

 Polish Heritage Dance
On Saturday, October 11th Polish Language School organized a Polish Heritage Banquet. Beata Mekalski and Andrzej Zasadny- the masters of ceremony- welcomed all the guests. The event started with an artistic program. The history of Polish immigrants in Rockford was presented by Adam Mazela and Renata Romanowski. Children from our school delighted spectators with Polish folk dances. After the performance, Fr. Peter blessed the food prepared by Teresa Szul. When dinner was over, teachers and the theater group members began the dancing part of the banquet with the traditional Polish Dance ?Polonez. We danced the night away to the great sound of music.

 Transitus
This year Transitus ? the passing from life to death of St. Francis of Assisi was celebrated on Friday, October 4th. It was a beautiful Mass celebrated by Fr. Peter and his Franciscan brothers. All were invited to Kolbe Hall for coffee and cake after the mass.

 Parish Day
On Sunday, September 24th our Parish celebrated the Parish Day-The Feast of St. Stanislaus Kostka with a bilingual mass at 10:15 am. After the Mass, a Eucharistic Procession through the neighborhood streets gathered hundreds of faithful. All the church organizations carried their banners. Fr. Peter ended the Procession with the Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. Parishioners spent the rest of the afternoon with great company where they could get good polish sausage from the grill, hunters stew, coffee and paczki

 Polish Fest
For the 27th time our Parish organized its annual Polish Fest on Sunday, August 17th. All activities began with a bilingual mass at 10:15 am. After the mass we welcomed thousands of people to taste Poland?s hospitality. For everyone?s enjoyment we offered dancing to two different bands, folk dancer performances, a variety of ethnic foods and beer. Everyone could find something interesting to do. From a sausage and sauerkraut dinner, pierogi, potato pancakes, pastries to bingo for adults. Children could challenge their skills on the climbing wall and many different games. As in prior years, we ended the festival with a raffle drawing and awarded college scholarships and Boylan tuition assistance.

July 9-12, 2008
 Youth Group - Camp
July 9-12th the St. Stanislaus Youth Group went up to Baraboo, Wisconsin, for their annual end of the year trip. They stayed at Expeditions Unlimited, a Christian mission camp that houses many church groups and accompanies them on adventures varying from canoeing and white-water rafting to rock climbing and hiking. During the course of the trip, these high school kids grew together as a group and became more strongly united in Christ through morning prayers, laughter, and interesting activities. It was an enjoyable week as the youth group went swimming, rock climbing, and funyaking together. They ended their trip with a fun day at Noah?s Ark Water park.

Father's Day
Coming to church on Sunday, June 15th, every man of our parish was pined with a flower. During the Mass, the homily was addressed to fathers. At the closing, Fr. Peter wished all the best to fathers and gave each of them a blessing. Children performed a short program to honor the fathers.

International Child Day W niedziele, 1-go czerwca obchodzilismy Dzien Dziecka szczególna msza, w ktorej Ojciec Piotr skierowal piekne slowa nauki do dzieci.
Sunday, June 1st we celebrated our children with a unique Mass. Fr. Peter delivered another beautiful homily, this time addressed to children. This day there was another reason to celebrate. During the Mass, Fr. Peter recognized a teenager-Teresa Borowski- the recipient of the National St. Timothy award. The celebration of the Kid?s Day did not end at the Mass. After the Mass everyone was invited to the School Hall for a play- ?The Queen of Snow?. The school hall was transformed into a theater, where children were mesmerized by the fairy tale, Queen of Snow, which was prepared by the staff and parents of Polish Language School. This pleasantly spent afternoon ended with a friendly gathering including coffee and cakes.
