Transitus 2009

Sunday, October 4 we celebrated Franciscan Charisma. This is very dear and close to our hearts because for over 75 years, St. Stanislaus parish is under care of the Conventual Franciscans. Last 5 years Franciscans of Krakow provinces from Poland are taking care of our spiritual needs. This year?s Transitus ceremony opened Sunday?s Eucharist, so we could all be a part of this beautiful celebration- 800 year of Franciscan Charisma. Over 250 parishioners took part of the celebrations. We had the honor to host the Dominicans Sisters from Milwaukee and the members of Third Order of Secular Franciscans from Rockford. During the Mass, Fr. Peter blessed new Franciscan Chapel where donated Icons of St. Francis, St. Clara and the San Damiano cross were placed. Before the final blessings, all families received miniature of the San Damiano cross. After the ceremony in church, Fr. Peter invited everyone for a delicious dinner prepared by group of ladies. Afternoon was spent in the great company.
